For its most recent "Unity" collection, New adds a split of half black and half gradient to the golden Air Max Plus.
The "Unity" collection was created to convey a sense of unity despite diversity, despite its largely stark black style. This is a powerful message that pertains to our contemporary social context globally. The Sean McDowell design features top to bottom black laterals with just a white outline around the Swoosh. Turning to the medial side reveals a black rib cage that is wrapped over a colourful yet supple gradient canvas basis that matches the midsole's Air units and the sole's underside.?The tongue tab and heel tab serve as additional branding elements, and a subdued "Unity" label is stitched above the mudguard.
New TNs, otherwise known as New Air Max Plus TNs, were popularised by lad culture in the UK and Australia. The New TN has become an icon of Australian street culture.
